Athens is the starting point for this voyage from Greece to Malta, calling at Turkey, too. We head south to the breathtaking island of Santorini, known for its blue-domed churches and white cube dwellings clinging to the edge of a sunken volcano, as well as its distinctive wines and stunning sunsets. We then continue north-east to the cosmopolitan seaside resort of Bodrum for a taste of the Turkish high life. Browse in the traditional bazaars and contemporary shops, or visit the Mausoleum of Halicarnassus, the ruins of an elaborate tomb dating back to 350 BCE. A day at sea heading west brings the chance to relax and sample the ship’s spa and restaurants, before disembarking in Valletta, Malta’s history-filled capital.
