An epic 25-day adventure awaits as we set sail from Fort Lauderdale. After relaxing into life onboard with a couple of days at sea, we arrive in Road Town, on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands, for scuba, hikes – or just wandering the old colonial streets. A cascade of Caribbean towns come into view now: Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, with its rich Creole culture; Castries in Saint Lucia to see the colorful murals in one of the region’s largest churches; and Scarborough in Tobago, where a stroll to the 18th-century Fort King George comes with wonderful views. Two days at sea take us to Brazil. Our first stop is Santarém, to see the mighty Amazon and Tapajós rivers meet, then Boca Da Valeria for a glimpse of local village life, and an overnight stay in the city of Manaus, gateway to the rainforest. Now, we explore Parintins, where the spirit of carnival continues year-round, and go barefoot on the white sands of Alter do Chão. A couple more sea days bring us to French Guiana and Devil’s Island, an intriguing former penal colony, then the Caribbean-Georgian streets of Bridgetown, Barbados. Make the most of the beaches at our last two stops, Roseau, Dominica, and Gustavia, St. Barts, before our voyage concludes with two more days cruising through the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea to energetic Fort Lauderdale.
