Say goodbye to Papeete, capital of French Polynesia, as we head to the romantic shores of Moorea, a cluster of peaks wrapped in a blue lagoon, Raiatea, a magical place steeped in local mythology, and the honeymooners’ favorite, lush Bora Bora, where we overnight. Two leisurely days at sea, enjoying all our ship has to offer, bring us Pago Pago, the capital of American Samoa, which shelters in the lee of mountains draped in rainforest. Next, we head to Apia in Samoa and there's a bucket-list event along the way – we cross the International Date Line. Just outside this port, there's the chance to find out why the great Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson spent his final years here at the museum in his former South Seas home. Another day at sea brings us to the dreamy island nation of Fiji, where we call first at the capital, Suva, to find out more about the seafaring people who have built this country over more than 3,000 years, before we head around the coast to our final port, Lautoka.
